15 Weeks

The average fetus at 15 weeks weighs 2.5 ounces and measures 4 inches -- and his proportions are becoming even more normal, since his legs now outmeasure his arms.

Total weight gain/loss: +2 lbs

Maternity clothes? LOVING the maternity jeans. Still can wear some of my "fat jeans" but they are not as comfortable. Almost all shirts are still non-maternity. Now that the weather is cooler, I am able to layer a lot, so been very comfortable. Mom was in town this weekend and bought me 4 new shirts and I got a new pair of jeans. I think I should be set until spring!

Exercise: Not much this week, but did order a prenatal yoga DVD. With the weather turning cold and dark in the morning and at night, it is difficult to get any exercise in. I know I need to start doing something now, before I get too much further in to the pregnancy.

Stretch marks? Not that I have seen, applying lotion every morning

Best moment this week: Seeing Mom over the weekend and moving the crib into the nursery, bedding arriving. Finally starting to feel more real.

Symptoms: Frequent peeing, thirsty all the time, craving sweets and carbs (ate more bread in the last few weeks than I have in months), intense sense of smell and headaches in the evening.

Movement: Not yet…but I have had some small tinges that I thought might be something.

Food cravings: Chocolate, DQ Blizzard, Coke, candy. Mmm…do we see a pattern…I want SUGAR!

Gender? Still a mystery…but I really think it is a boy.

Sleep: Been doing better on sleep. Still wake up at least 2 twice a night to use the bathroom, so that doesn't help. Seem to toss and turn a lot, but overall better sleep then I was having a month ago.

Belly Button in or out? In

What I am looking forward to: Ultrasound in 4 weeks to tell us the gender. Crossing my fingers the baby is not shy.

Weekly Wisdom: Trying not to stress over the growing belly. I feel fat, not pregnant. Everyone tells me I look great, but for some reason I am paranoid about being the "fat" pregnant girl..mind you I have only gained 1-2 lb too, so I really should not be so worried.
